Hello all. I know it’s been a few years since I last uploaded a finished Halo montage. I hope there’s enough subscribers still around to enjoy this video despite my inactivity on YouTube, and I hope you all enjoy the video and give the description a read afterwards. I started casually editing this video for Stormy in August as a conceptual short edit, and it was a very on and off process due to my busy schedule. It was originally going to be just a 3 minute edit, but Stormy actually ended up paying me to add another song to the project, so I delayed uploading for a few months to edit the second part. The edit itself is heavily inspired from Tyler’s IGOR album, one of my favorite albums of 2019 and definitely a must-listen to. The inspiration spills into even subtle aspects of the edit, such as my color scheme and some of the effects and camera compositions in the first part. The second part is simpler in editing than the first part, both to showcase Stormy’s favorite Halo 2 clips, and because I think a heavier edit would detract from the theme of that part. I also took significantly more time than I usually do to develop the sound design for this edit, and I hope it translates well to my audience.
